Canvas basics: finding your way around
Pan, zoom, pages, the toolbar, and the anatomy of a board.
A board is an infinite canvas. The pieces you'll touch every day:
- Cards — footage arrives as source cards, cuts live on edit cards, plus logging panels, recipe cards, and more. Drag to arrange; the layout is shared with everyone.
- The docked player (top-right) — plays whatever you cue: click any transcript segment, source, or edit. Drag its header to move it.
- The docked timeline (bottom) — the currently-cued edit's segments. Drag segments from cards onto it to assemble a cut.
- The ask bar — talk to the AI editor, or @mention a specific agent.
- Pages — every board has purpose-built pages: Backgrounder (your brief), Source, Logging, Recipes, Stock Library, and 🎭 Agents. Switch from the top bar.
Navigation: scroll or drag to pan, pinch / Ctrl+scroll to zoom, Shift+1 to zoom-to-fit everything. Undo is Ctrl/Cmd+Z as you'd expect.
Right-click is media-native: right-clicking a source or edit card gives video actions — play, add to cut, favorite, create multicam, add to Backgrounder — not just copy/paste.
