Create your first board

Sign in, make a blank board, bring in footage, and make your first cut — in about ten minutes.

Here's the shortest path from zero to a first cut:

1. Sign in at app.storylines.video. New accounts start with 500 free credits — enough to import about an hour of footage. See accounts.
2. Create a board from the board menu ("＋ new board"). Boards start blank and belong to you — the first person to open a board is its owner.
3. Import footage. Use the import flow to pull files from Google Drive. Processing runs on our servers, so you can close the tab. See importing from Drive.
4. Meet the footage. Each file arrives as a source card with a transcript. Click a segment to play it in the docked player.
5. Make a cut. Ask the AI in the chat bar — "cut a 60-second version focused on X" — or drag segments onto the docked timeline yourself. See edits & segments.

From there, try inviting a teammate (sharing & roles) or hiring your first agent (build an agent).
