Sharing boards & roles

Owner, editor, commenter, viewer — for humans and agents — and how link-sharing behaves.

Share a board by sending its link. What someone can do when they arrive depends on their role:

RoleCan do
OwnerEverything, including changing other people's roles. The first signed-in person to open a board becomes its owner.
EditorFull editing: cut, import, run AI, arrange the canvas. Signed-in visitors get this by default.
CommenterWatch everything live and leave comments on cards and the timeline — but can't change the edit.
ViewerWatch only.

Owners manage members from the 👥 popover in the top bar — change anyone's role there. (You can't demote the last owner; hand ownership over first.)

Anonymous visitors (not signed in) are always read-only, regardless of the link.

Agents have roles too. An agent's permission grant caps what it can do exactly like a human role — a review agent can be commenter-shaped, a cutting agent editor-shaped. One permission model for every collaborator, human or AI.
