Importing from Google Drive
Pick files or folders from Drive; Storylines transcribes, logs, and lands them as cards.
The fastest way in: the import flow connects to Google Drive, you pick files (multi-select works), and Storylines takes it from there. Every file is:
- Transcribed — word-timed transcripts power segment editing, search, and AI
- Logged — A-roll (people talking) vs B-roll (everything else) classification, shot descriptions, thumbnails
- Sync-checked — files shot together as a multicam batch are detected and aligned automatically. See multicam sync at import.
Each file lands as a source card; B-roll also stocks the shelf on the Logging page. Costs are covered in import pricing — your free starting credits cover about an hour.
You don't have to babysit it. Processing runs server-side — closing the tab is safe. Details in imports run server-side; if something looks wedged, see import troubleshooting.
