Imports finish even if you close the tab
Ingest is resumable: the server watches your import and lands the footage even with no tab open.
Once an import starts, it's registered server-side and a worker checks on it every few minutes. That means:
- Close the laptop, switch networks, reload — the import continues and the footage lands on the board on its own.
- If you reload mid-import, the placeholder card says "finishing on the server — safe to close this tab." Believe it.
- If processing genuinely fails, the card reports the reason instead of spinning forever, and our team is notified automatically.
Typical timing: transcription and logging take a few minutes per hour of footage; B-roll descriptions can trail in slightly after the cards appear (the Logging page shows the catch-up progress).
