Train a skill from YouTube
Point at a channel or paste links; the system watches the videos and writes a skill — their style, or what they teach.
In the Studio, hit 📺 train a skill from YouTube. Two ways in:
- @ channel — enter a handle, choose how many recent videos to learn from
- 🔗 specific links — paste exact video URLs (Shorts links are detected and treated as their own register)
Before building, choose what the skill should capture:
- 🎬 How they edit — a style guide: hooks quoted verbatim, structure beats, tone, pacing, visual conventions, CTAs. Pick this to make videos that feel like the creator's.
- 🎓 What they teach — their methodology: workflows, techniques, and rules of thumb distilled from tutorial or educational videos. Pick this when the creator talks about a craft — say, a wedding filmmaker teaching how to edit wedding videos — and you want an agent that applies that method to your footage, not one that mimics the tutorial's own editing.
The two compose: train a method skill from an educator and a style skill from a filmmaker you love, attach both to one agent.
Pick up to 20 videos (45 minutes each max), name the skill, and build. The pipeline downloads the videos, has AI genuinely watch and listen to each one, takes notes matching your capture choice, then distills everything into one skill — with separate sections for Shorts vs longform when both are present in style mode.
Builds run server-side; close the tab freely. The finished skill lands in your workspace, auto-attaches to the agent on your Studio bench, and is editable like any skill.
